In case you will be a first time viewer this year, our benefit works in this way:

Our program is a auction hosted by locals and some National celebrities. We show a " lot" of ten items at a time and you have the opportunity to bid on any of the ten shown. It's easy, you listen to the description and look at the item being shown on the TV. Once you have decided which item(s) you want to bid on, you simply call the number on the screen and as they say, Operators are standing by. We normally run our lot of ten items for (7) seven minutes and the bidding can be fast and furious, we do our best to keep you informed of the highest bid while showing the items the entire seven minutes. After the time has expired we let you know who are the winners and move onto the next lot of ten items. We also have special lots of unique items from celbrities ranging from national sports figures to movie stars and the world of Rock n Roll. In addition, we also offer things that at times have had values of up to $1,500. The bidding on these special "lots" is normally done in TWO hour sequments, giving you more time to think and bid.

Our event is always held on the Saturday prior to Thanksgiving in order for us to disburse much of what is raised to those in need by Christmas, but we don't stop there. We continue to help CHILDREN IN NEED ALL YEAR ROUND. Our broadcast normally starts at 9:00 am and runs until the last item has been auctioned, which in past years has normally been between 2:00 and 4:00 am. It's fun and exciting and you can join us live at the broadcast site and bid in person and while enjoying snacks and refreshments.

DUE TO THE FACT THIS IS A CHARITY EVENT, WE ASK, PLEASE ONLY BID IF YOU INTEND TO PICK UP AND PAY FOR THE ITEM(S) SHOULD YOU BE THE SUCCESSFUL BIDDER.

THE CHILDREN ARE THE ONLY ONES WHO SUFFER IF YOU FAIL TO DO SO.

HOW CAN I BID???

It's easy. If you are watching TV INSIGHT CABLE TELEVISION ON THE COMMUNITY CHANNEL, you can view the program and view the items and call the number listed on the screen to bid and one of our many operators will take your bid and information.

OR

You can come out to the KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS BUILDING on US 31 North across from Scott Memorial Hospital and bid in person during the broadcast. We have a bidding area and large screen TV's so you can see the items being auctioned off. We will have people there to take your bids. This option affords you to be able to join in the fun and enjoy food and refreshments being sold from the KNIGHTS kitchen. We have a full complement of facilities.

 

HOW CAN I HELP ?????????

There are several ways in which you help us to help the CHILDREN. We do accept cash and will gladly put you on TV "live" if you wish. We will gladly pickup any item(s) wish to donate to us to auction off.

If you are a successful bidder please come and pay for your item(s) and pick them up. We try to turn around much of the funds raised as quickly as possible.

It's a double bang for your buck. You get something very nice for your buck, and we turn around and help CHILDREN IN NEED with that same buck. It couldn't be easier or any better for everyone concerned.

IF I WAS A SUCCESSFUL BIDDER, WHAT Do I Do NOW ???????????

There are several options. We are broadcasting from the Knights Of Columbus facility on US 31 North in Scottsburg. You can come directly into the building and pay for your item(s) and pick it up and continue to watch and bid until the end of our broadcast. If for some reason you cannot come and pickup your item that day we have established the following hours at the Knights of Columbus facility that you can come and pay.

The next day SUNDAY from 1:00 PM until 5:00PM and MONDAY from 10:00 am until 4:00PM

On Monday following the auction at 6:00PM at the same place, Knights of Columbus we will hold a traditional auction to sell off remaining items that have gone unclaimed or that came in too late to make the show.
